I know that I have been really bad lately about posting.  We all have been doing well.  All 4 of us.  I have 6 1/2 more weeks to go until Reese's arrival.  Maddie was 3 weeks early so who knows...it may be sooner.  I have been so tired lately, which is bad when you are trying to take care of a 2 year old.  The other day, I fell asleep on the couch, well I was half sleep.  I woke up and Maddie was putting all sorts of things on me.  I had her alphabet magnets, her crayon box, a coaster, and our old Vonage modem on me.  It was pretty funny.  I thought that Maddie was starting to understand that Mamma had baby Reese in her belly until one night after Maddie had eaten dinner, she lifted up her shirt, rubbed her belly and said, "Reese."  If you ask her where Reese is, she looks down at her belly.  Oh well, she will find out soon enough.  We are very excited and can't wait to meet our new daughter and of course introduce her to Maddie.  We hope that one day they will be best friends!  Maddie has been enjoying school.  She loves her teachers and all of her friends, especially Gracie, Robert ("Raw dirt"), and Jack.  Her favorite food is Egg Drop Soup.  Sounds crazy I know, but she LOVES soup.  She brightens our day with her love for life.  The other night, she gave me a giant hug and said, "Mamma, I love you" totally unprompted.  It brought tears to my eyes.  In fact it is bringing tears to my hormonal self just thinking about it again!  Maddie just said, "It's ok Mamma" as she looked at me with tears running down my cheeks.  Too cute.  We have been working on sleeping in our big girl bed.  This is a huge challenge.  Man was a crib easier!  You could just put her in there and leave.  Now you put her in her bed and she starts screaming and comes running after you before you even make it out of her room.  We have good and bad days...mostly bad.  Another challenge we are having is getting her to bed at a decent hour.  She is a huge night owl.  She WILL NOT go to bed early.  Her early bedtime is around 10 pm.  Some nights she is up until 11:30.  Usually around 8 pm she starts running laps around the kitchen.  It's insane.  She will sleep till 8:30 or 9 am so at least she is not up at 5:30 or 6.  Maddie's favorite show is Barney ("Narney").  I swore years ago I would never let my kids watch that show but, she LOVES it.    She sings along with all the songs.  Barney has actually been a savor at times.  I am just glad that it makes her happy.  She also loves Play-doh.  The first time we gave it to her to play with, she sat there for 3 hours in her chair playing with it.  It was amazing.  What a great invention!  Potty training is not going well.  In fact, we have given up for a while.  We think that she will be in diapers until she's 16.  We will try again after things get settled with Reese.

Maddie LOVES her JuJu.  In fact Mamma and Daddy are non-existence when JuJu is here!

Telling Secrets!

Cagle's Dairy Farm 2009

We returned to Cagle's Dairy Farm for some more fun.  Maddie was not to happy about riding the pony.  Overall, she had a great time.  She enjoyed watching Daddy feed the goats, however, she would not feed them herself.  She loved the pumpkins and of course the cows.  When one of the cows moo'd at her, she just thought that was great.  She also LOVED the jump pillow.  She calls jumping, "dumpy".  She loves jumping.  Her favorite part of jumping is to lie down and let the other kids do the hard work and bounce her.

The Pudding Disaster!

I was upstairs decorating Reese's room and called Kris to come help me move something heavy.  He had just given Maddie some pudding along with her sippy cup filled with milk.  When he was done helping me he returned downstairs.  When he did, I heard him yell for me.  I ran downstairs to this.  Maddie had taken her sippy cup with milk and decided to dilute her pudding.  As you can see, she had it ALL over the place.  It was even in her ears and between her toes.  It took forever to clean up!  Needless to say...we went straight to the bath!
