Fun At Aunt Brenda's

This past Sunday, the three of us went to Aunt Brenda's house to visit with Brenda & Nana.  We had a great time.  Maddie loved playing in Aunt Brenda's living room.  It was wonderful to see them.  On Saturday we were working on saying "Na Na Na Na."

Maddie & I continued our photo session this afternoon.  I got a new camera so I was excited to take pictures of Maddie.  Here are some of the pics.  There are so many because I had trouble deciding which ones I liked the best!

Maddie was crying because she wanted Elmo.  I was using him to try to make her smile!

Posing For Momma

This morning I had Maddie posing for a practice photo shoot.  It is now extremely hard to take good pictures of her because she now crawls all over the place.  I think that I took about 75 pictures & these were the only good ones I got.  Thank goodness for digital photography!

This is video taken of Maddie a couple of weeks ago.  She looked like she was swimming.  It was pretty cute.  As you can see...she is into EVERYTHING!

4th of July

Maddie is now 11 months old.  I can't believe my baby is almost 1 year old.  She has changed so much.  She has finally learned how to crawl!!!!  At first she was just pulling herself on the floor & she looked like she was swimming.  It was pretty funny.  She did this for about a week then finally figured it out.  She is also standing up all the time now & pulling up on anything.  She is also walking holding on to furniture.  You have to watch her every second now.  If you look away for one second...the next thing that you know...she'll be head first on the floor screaming.  She has a couple of bruises & scratches on her head.  She also has developed quite a personality.  She is our little "firecracker."  She screams when we change her diaper or take away something that she wants.  I have no idea where she gets this from =)  Still there are no teeth to report.  She has been teething for 7 months now.  Even without teeth she is able to eat table food.  She also has finally learned "Ma."  It absolutely melted my heart.  It was the sweetest thing that I had ever heard.

I was cleaning up the kitchen & letting Maddie play on the floor when I noticed that she was very quiet. I peeked around the corner to find her almost under the coffee table. She then saw me & started laughing. She thought that she was very funny!

Ten Month Update

There is nothing cuter than a little naked baby. I could not resist taking this picture. I am sure Maddie will hate me for this some day. Maddie is still NOT crawling. She really wants to though. She also still does not have any teeth. I feel like this is a recording. One new advancement is that we have started eating table food. She LOVES everything that she has tried. The first meal that she had was diced peaches & cheese grits. She especially enjoyed the grits. I was not sure how she'd take the texture...but it did not seem to both her. I hope that in her next month's update we will have some exciting news such as she's crawling or has teeth.

Maddie's new trick is standing up in her crib. The other morning she woke me up with screaming. I looked into the monitor & saw her standing up. I jumped out of bed & yelled at Kris to come & look at Maddie. She just stood there very proud of herself. I took this picture yesterday afternoon & she had the same proud look.

Happy Father's Day

Ok so I let him think that he was the boss since it was Father's Day. We had a great day. We all slept in, took naps, went to the pool & ate good cooking.

Fun at the Pool

On Saturday evening we went with Karl, Edie, Mason & Karli to the pool. Mason & Karli ran around in the beach pool having a great time. I can't wait till Maddie's running around in the pool!

Lunch with Lucy

Maddie & I met Lucy & Allison for lunch at Cheesecake Factory. We had a good time. Maddie tried cheesecake for the first time & Lucy tried Zwiebacks. It was very entertaining!
