The past couple of days, I worked long hours at work and did not get to see Maddie much.  When she saw me for the first time today, she started screaming and shaking with excitement.  It was the cutest thing ever.  She was so happy to see me and gave me what we call a Mimi-D huge.  I also got tons of kisses.  I feel like she's giving me CPR when I get kisses.  Don't get me wrong...I love my baby's kisses.  But they are full blown, mouth wide open and wet with teeth!  Today wasn't too cold and Maddie and I were able to play outside!  I pushed her in her new wagon to the park.  She have fun running around the playground.  She also loved the slide.  I held her hands while she slide down, then she would laugh when she dismounted.  Good times!

A Day Off To Spend With Maddie

Maddie and I have been having fun playing today.  We played in the basement with her kitchen this morning followed by a nice long nap.  I felt bad because I told her that we would go outside and I would push her in her wagon.  We got all bundled up opened the door and it was FREEZING outside.  So needless to say...we did not get to go in the wagon.  I did take a couple of pictures of her on the porch.

Bath Time Fun

Maddie now gets to color in the bathtub thanks to the crayons Santa gave to her.

I couldn't resist!

NFL Playoffs

Maddie and I were ready for the big game.  Unfortunately, the Giants lost.  We sure had a good time cheering for Eli!  When I was at work one weekend last month, Nanny, Poppy, and Daddy taught Maddie to raise both arms when we yell "touchdown."  It was pretty cute!

Maddie's New Kitchen

When we went over to David and Jen's I was so amazed with how Maddie played with Charlotte's kitchen so intently.  I could not wait until another holiday to get her one too.  I found an adorable red one to match Maddie's new playroom.  So far Maddie really likes her new kitchen!

Where's Maddie?

Here she is!

17 Month Update

Maddie turned 17 months at the beginning of January.  Hard to believe.  She now has 6 teeth.  Finally she has her 2 front teeth.  Poor thing looked so funny for a while with just 1 front tooth.  Just a couple of days ago I was expressing my concern for her not speaking more words and now she is repeating all sorts of words.  She can say:  purple, bye bye, please, kitty, grandpie, and grammie.  Now let me clarify this....she is not going around saying these words.  We'll say, "Maddie say ____" and she'll repeat it in the cutest little voice.  We have been working on animal sounds too.  If you ask her what the lion says, she roars.  She will also moo when asked what the cow says.  Her Nanny and Poppy gave her a learning dog for Christmas and this morning she was playing with it and it said bye bye to her.  I then heard her say bye bye back.  It is also one of those things where you hear a parent talking with their child and you have no idea what the child just said, however the parent knows.  Another word that Maddie can say or should I say Maddie says is book.  However it comes out as gock.  It's pretty cute.  Maddie's hair has grown in the back, but is still thin on top.  She will no longer wear bows in her hair.  I try to distract her with toys, but a few minutes later she finds the bow and pulls it out.  Oh well!   She also will stick both hands up in the air when we yell "touch down."  She is also still a huge Daddy's girl, but loves her Momma too!

Maddie + Oatmeal - Spoon = HUGE MESS

So here's what happened.  I fixed Maddie her oatmeal then I left Kris to feed her while I went upstairs to get the laundry.  Kris then had to run to the "library."  When I came back downstairs, Maddie had dropped her spoon on the floor.  Of coarse the poor child wanted to continue to eat her breakfast...so she resorted to using her hands.  She had oatmeal EVERYWHERE.  All over herself, pj's, in her hair, the chair, the floor, and the table etc.  After a few pictures and some video...we went to take a bath!

Christmas at David & Jen's

Saturday night we went over to David and Jennifer's house to celebrate Christmas with that side of the family.  It was fun to see Maddie and Charlotte play.  Maddie LOVED Charlotte's new kitchen that she received for Christmas.  Maddie was not to sure about their dogs.  We had a great time!

Merry Christmas everyone.  What a fun Christmas this year!  Maddie opened many presents and was very excited.  She loved her new Elmo Live, Jack in the Box, wagon, and many more.  She also got a child size grand piano.  Here's a little video recap of our past couple of days.  Merry Christmas from the Waters' family.
