These are Maddie's new sunglasses that I bought from my new favorite store, Gymboree.

Did Someone Say Prunes?

Maddie was having constipation issues so we decided to take matters into our own hands. We decided to give her prunes. Maddie thought they were very yummy! Well the prunes only took a couple of minutes to kick in. Shortly after she began eating them...she made her "poopy face" (as you can see in the 2nd picture). We thought great...no big deal. I finished feeding her then proceeded to take her upstairs to change her diaper. Well needless to say...she had a blowout!!! And since I was carrying her with her butt facing me so that I would not have to smush the diaper.....it got all over me too. It took both Kris & I to clean her up.

This is a huge tradition in my family. My Grandmother started the tradition getting pictures taken of my mom & aunt. These pictures are on my Grandmother's wall. Under these are pictures of my cousins & I. So we finally had Maddie's 3 month diaper picture made. Well actually it was 5 months. We have been working on holding our neck up for a while now. She always started screaming when I would put her on her tummy for "tummy time" therefore....we had to postpone the picture. We had about 12 pictures made in a photo session that lasted all of 2 minutes. My child could then be heard throughout ALL of SuperTarget SCREAMING. Not only was she cold, but she was also on her tummy.

Merry Christmas From The Waters Family

We wish all of our friends & family a wonderful Christmas filled with joy & happiness. We are truly blessed as we celebrate our first Christmas with our new baby with all of her loving family. Let's hope that 2008 is as great as 2007. However...no year will ever compare to the birth of our beautiful baby. Merry Christmas.

This is my favorite pic!!!

We had a photographer come to our house to take some pictures of Maddie. Here are our favorites!!! I bought her the blue dress to show off her blue eyes. I made the mistake of putting it on her last. She was tired & fell asleep.

Maddie Turns 4 Months Old

Maddie is now 4 months old. It is amazing to see just how quickly time flies by. She went on Wednesday for her 4 month check up. She is now weighing in at 13.3 lbs. & 24 inches long. Shortly after arriving home from her appointment, I turned on the evening news while feeding Maddie. The breaking news headline was that Merk had recalled over 1 million Hib vaccines. The recall was due to contamination in the lab. No children have been hurt yet blah blah blah. Anyways, the next morning I phoned Dr. Vickie to discover that she only had 1 lot of the recalled vaccine & guess who received it. Oh course! Maddie is fine so far. Mommy is more upset than she is. There are several new things that Maddie has learned. She has discovered her spit. She stores it up in the back of her throat & then she proceeds to gargle it. It is so cute. We can make the noise & she will mock us back. She also has started making this cute squealing noise. She loves to stand up like a big girl. She's a little wobbly but she is getting better by the day. She is such a good natured, happy baby. She is really showing us her personality now. Her smile makes my heart melt.

Maddie opened her Christmas present early from her great Grandmother, Grandmommy. She got her a baby Einstein musical bouncer. Maddie did not really know what to think about it. Her poor little feet would not even touch the ground =(

Our Little "Spoiled" Baby

I absolutely could not resist buying this outfit for Maddie. I bought it before she was even born. It says "spoiled" on it. I knew that no matter what we did...she would end up spoiled. They say that you cannot spoil a baby...I beg to differ. She was spoiled the moment that she arrived into this world. I was so mesmerized by her in the hospital, that I never put her down. I hardly slept because I just kept staring at this beautiful baby that I had helped create. Now....she ALWAYS wants to be held. At least she is a cuddler!!
